Open-Air Evangelism

Open-air evangelism is central to the mission of End Time Swallows. Following Christ’s commission to “go,” we take the gospel beyond church walls and into communities, suburbs, and public spaces—reaching people where they live.

Through outdoor evangelistic meetings, music, preaching, and community engagement, we proclaim the message of Jesus Christ in open fields, town grounds, and village centers. These settings create accessible spaces where individuals and families can hear the Word, ask questions, and encounter Christ.

By bringing the gospel into everyday spaces, End Time Swallows seeks to remove barriers, serve communities with compassion, and call people to a life of faith, hope, and transformation.

ETS believe that the gospel must be preached to where people are. Most of the members are full time students and workers. However, the gospel needs to be preached and heard by people every day, and time is of essence. Knowing this, and instead of waiting for end of year vacations and holidays to do ministry, ETS have come up with the concept of open air evangelism. They bring the gospel to where people are and live.
They started this in 2005 and continue to improve over time to do this. They design evangelistic meetings to conduct after work and school right close to where people’s residences are. Their target areas include market areas, parks, fields and street corners that are close to where people live so they can sit around their houses and listen or come to the fields and listen.
So far, they have conducted over 10 meetings in various strategic locations in the main towns of PNG and in Port Moresby. Here are the highlights and some of the photos highlighting the campaigns. A lot of young people have showed interest in the programs and messages.

Duran, 8mile Port Moresby

In 2019, End Time Swallows conducted an Open-Air Community Evangelistic Crusade in partnership with John’s Foundation 17 Mile Seventh-day Adventist Church at Duran Community, located at 8 Mile outside Port Moresby.

Following a week of nightly crusade meetings focused on the Revelation of Jesus Christ, the outreach concluded with a powerful baptismal service, where seven souls publicly committed their lives to Christ through baptism
