Monokam, Ambum, Enga Province

Organised by Dencen Anton and his uncle Nathan Luso in the heart of Ambum Valley, Monokam. The site is located some hundred kilometres Northwest of Wabag town with its surrounding villages subjected to constant tribal fighting. About 50 plus Swallow members (including families) attended this Kibung. The meeting was conducted by Steven Kual and many were impressed by the word of the Lord that came with authority. Monokam though remotely located, had a modern clinic facility that ETS was fortunate to use to do health clinics. ETS very own Dr. Elison Pingi, Dr. Robert Jones, Dr. Diana Olita’a Jones and several medical students provided health talks and medical treatments and advice during the week. This Kibung saw seven 13 souls baptized including ETS member Dencen Anton and a prominent community leader from Monokam who actively participated and assisted Swallows during their stay. On their return to Wabag town, ETS by the impression from the Lord chose to take an alternate route across the Komage Ridge. It was during this travel; Swallows learn that there was an active shooting and fighting just that morning on the other route that they initially travelled by to come to Monokam a week earlier– the route from Sir Tei Abal Secondary School. ETS Praise the Lord for His continuous protection and leading.

Kindau, Anglimp, Jiwaka

Meeting was arranged by Paul Andakis through his sister’s husband who was the head elder at the Kindau church, just at the border of Jiwaka and Western Highlands Province. After the Monokam ministry, ETS had to travel all the way from Wabag town down to Anglimp in Jiwaka province for their second week of ministry. The meeting was conducted by Rungi Pingi and inspired many who attended. The community was intrigued by the authority from which ETS delivered the message and similarly were thankful and appreciative of the health clinics and workshops carried out by Swallows’ health team and members. Swallows did take time out to contribute and paid a visit to a ‘haus cry’ of a community member in Kindau. This ministry ended on a high note with baptism of 5 souls into the Kingdom of God, and many others making decisions to follow Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!
