EOYM 2002

Kiseveroka, Lufa District, Eastern Highlands Province

This EOYM was arranged and organized by Kelly U’ro, who at the time was a member of the Port Moresby ETS. ETS ministered for two weeks in Kiseveroka, which was Kelly’s village. The two weeks nightly meeting was led by Elder Rungi Pingi and Pastor George Paki, they each took a week. The two‑week nightly meeting was led by Elder Rungi Pingi and Pastor George Paki; each of them took one week.

The two‑week program was filled with witnessing and market outreaches. The community was so moved by what they saw during the market outreach—which hundreds attended—that they donated food for the entire week. The Sabbath–Sunday topic was debated, and the interest was significant. Many young people and children from non‑Adventist families attended faithfully each night. The small church, which had only about eight members at the time, was packed to capacity and overflowing throughout the week.
